My connection to the Franklin County School System is personal and lifelong. As a proud product of FCS, my educational journey began at Louisburg Elementary and Riverside Magnet Elementary, through Terrell Lane Middle School, to graduating from Louisburg High School in the Class of 2010. Along the way, I gained valuable skills from Career and Technical Education courses at Franklinton High School and was actively involved in the Marching Band, National Honor Society, and National Technical Honor Society. Franklin County Schools helped shape who I am today.

Through my family’s service, I have gained a firsthand understanding of the daily commitment and sacrifices required to support our schools. I know what it means to rise early and start a cold bus so students arrive safely and warmly; something my mother did while serving our district in multiple roles, including bus driver, instructional assistant, Before and After School Coordinator, and later as a licensed elementary school teacher.

I am also keenly aware of the pressures faced by teachers and administrators as they work tirelessly to create the best possible learning environments for students. This perspective is further strengthened by my wife, a fellow product of the Franklin County Public School System, who currently serves as Assistant Principal at Terrell Lane Middle School, where she was once a student. Before moving into administration, she served as a Coach, Franklin County Ambassador, ISS Coordinator (In-School Suspension Coordinator), and Seventh-grade Math Teacher and was honored as Teacher of the Year.

Finally, I experience our school system through the eyes of a parent, with two children currently excelling in Franklin County schools; benefiting from dedicated educators and programs that exemplify educational excellence.
